This Mission Viejo remodel transformed the kitchen and primary bathroom with a distinctive mix of warm wood, saturated color and streamlined forms. In the kitchen, expansive cabinetry takes advantage of the soaring ceiling height while an oversized waterfall island provides generous prep space, seating and a natural gathering point. An iridescent mosaic backsplash introduces an unexpected wash of aqua and green, contrasting with the rich wood cabinetry and dark stone surfaces. The primary bathroom carries that material story forward in a much brighter way, pairing custom wood cabinetry with crisp white surfaces and vivid turquoise mosaic tile that continues across the shower walls and floor. Frameless glass keeps the room visually open, while the long double vanity provides substantial storage. Together, the two spaces feel clearly related without simply repeating one another, creating a home that is functional, expressive and unmistakably tailored to its owners.
