Designed as a forever home for a retired couple with an art collection gathered over a lifetime, this Mission Viejo remodel was about creating spaces as individual as the pieces they love. Rather than giving the home a gallery-like formality, we layered their art into comfortable, highly personal rooms with plenty of character—from the vibrant dining room and collected family room to a jewel-box powder bath and light-filled primary shower. Rich woods, expressive patterns, colorful accents, and quieter neutral moments create a backdrop that allows their collection to shine while still feeling warm and livable. The result is a home that reflects not just what they have collected, but the life and memories behind it.
