It does not have to be grey, beige or white. All areas must be the same color, including the foyer, hallways and main connector room. You don't want one dominant color to dominate the space.
Be aware of sight lines
Customers might sometimes desire more options in wall colors. Sight lines are a good option if you have this problem.
This is how it works: When you stand in the living area, what other rooms will your eyes see? If you have access to the foyer and dining room as well as the kitchen, your colors should be coordinated. You can make the space appear very different if you choose a different color scheme each time.
Pick Color Groups
You can ensure that colors flow from one room into the next by limiting your choices to the same temperature.
Some people are more comfortable with warm colors, such as yellows, oranges, or reds. Some may opt for a more trendy scheme such as grays, greens or blues.
You can also pick a few colors to use in a variety. A gray-blue or a pristine color might be your choice as you move from one space to the next. This same concept can be applied to decorative accessories.
Your paint store can make a "tint” of your wall paint. This can be accomplished by taking the main color down 50 percent and adding white. They can also make it darker or lighter. This is a great way for colors to be synchronized without having to use the exact same color everywhere. Paint decks are great for finding colors that complement each others.
